Yes!!! this is exactly how I look (lol) but it is totally worth it.  I am not a morning person, but this Lenten season one of the things I gave up was sleeping late.  So during the week I am getting up at 5:30 to go the gym before work.  Not only is it easier than I thought, it actually gives me an energy rush versus being tired which I thought would be the result.  The worst part is packing a bag so I can get dressed for work after showering but I LOVE morning workouts, try it and see :-)  This is one of my favorite treadmill songs, check it out.

"It Follows" is a surprisingly creepy horror flick





 I love this artwork for the Indie horror flick, It Follows.  I actually never heard about it on tv or news, but saw a Twitter post by AMC Theater on 3/25/15 and decided to check it out. Saw it last night and it was so radically different from anything out right now that you have to like it.  While there was violence, nudity and blood, nothing overboard and distracting like so many slasher flicks of today that just go for shock value. The actors were all superb in their roles and the accompanying music, while sometimes a "give away" was very well timed and sequenced for the scenes.  It seemed to alternate between a period piece by dress & styling but that may just be the locale. Totally worth a watch if you like horror, I give it about 3.5-4 out of 5 stars. Random fact, the Director, David Mitchell went to FSU :-)

Hello Interwebz! It has been a bit of a hiatus for me but I am looking to do better in all things this year. Opening myself to new experiences and no longer holding so tight to things/people/belongings that are better left behind, no matter how familiar. Heck I might even get on SnapChat, lol! Anywho, more to come, no one cares anyway right? while March Madness is ongoing. Let me leave you with some ear candy :-)

Day 1

The journey of a 1000 miles starts with the first step :-)
Today's breakfast was oatmeal, followed by a small portion of polska kielbaska (less than 2 inches long) and plenty of water. Today's lunch is a 100 calorie sandwich round (whole grain w/flax & fiber), 1 tablespoon of reduced fat peanut butter and a cup of applesauce. My afternoon snack will be raw celery & carrots! Those 8 pounds (plus 4 more!) have a deadline of May 1st to leave town!)

Walk the TALK!

Well, this weekend I finally got on the scale. The first time since one month after my surgery last September. I have gained 8 pounds :-(
Technically I can say I am probably wearing about 1.5 pounds of hair weave and I did have on clothes and shoes as well as this being the PMS week so I have a lot of water weight BUT I shall just claim all of those eight pounds.
The MD released me back to working out at the beginning of the year but with school and work I have not been back in the gym like I should so starting today No More EXCUSES! Going to start tracking my food again and working out accordingly.
